My FAFSA says I am eligible for more Pell than I was awarded. Was there a mistake?
The amount awarded may be adjusted.
Pell Grant awards are based on the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) or Student Aid Index (SAI) and determined based on a student’s enrollment status. The amount listed on the FAFSA is based on full-time enrollment for one academic year. If a student is not attending full-time the amount is adjusted to reflect on enrollment status for the academic year which is two semesters.
