ACHS is a faculty-driven institution. Our faculty applicants are carefully screened for their clinical expertise, teaching experience, and their commitment to the teaching and learning of our students. Faculty members focus on providing a highly experiential interactive experience incorporating up-to-date educational training and the best practices of adult learning (andragogy). All Faculty are members of the Faculty Senate and subject matter experts, so are involved with creating and updating course materials, conducting program and course reviews, reviewing policies and procedures, attending industry conferences and events, and many are involved with other administrative functions.
Each online course has a fully qualified faculty member as the instructor; you will interact with your instructor through discussion boards, the virtual office, live lessons (video and/or audio and sessions are recorded if you cannot attend live), email, messaging, and through the grading process. Unlike some online institutions, ACHS does not use graders - your instructor grades your work. Your instructor will also assign reading and assessments for you.
