What is the difference between ACHS book options? (ACHS green, ACHS eTextbooks, ACHS printed, Publisher book, ACHS print bound)

ACHS offers both in-house and publisher textbooks with options for digital access and sustainable printing practices to support responsible resource use.

Overview
At ACHS, courses use a mix of Publisher Textbooks and ACHS Textbooks (published in-house), depending on the course requirements. Information about required textbooks and materials is always available on the ACHS website for each course.

Purchasing Textbooks
Students can choose to buy their own publisher textbooks, including options for used books or rentals. It’s essential to purchase the correct edition for the current semester to match course requirements.

ACHS Green Option
When enrolling, students may select the ACHS Green Option. This allows them to opt out of printed materials and instead receive fully searchable digital versions when available, reducing paper waste.

Sustainability Commitment
ACHS printed textbooks are made with paper certified by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and Rainforest Alliance. These certifications ensure responsible sourcing. Additionally, the publisher recycles 100% of paper processing and printing waste, including toner and cartridges.
