Does ACHS provide a 1098T Tax Statement?

ACHS provides eligible students with a 1098-T tax form by January 31 each year.

What is a Form 1098-T?

The Form 1098-T is an IRS form that ACHS completes annually, in accordance with the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. It is provided to each enrolled student who has made payments for qualifying tuition and related educational expenses throughout the year (from January 1 to December 31). This form is essential for students to prepare their yearly income tax returns and determine their eligibility for educational tax credits or deductions.

ACHS adheres to Section 6050S of the Internal Revenue Code, which mandates that colleges and universities electronically submit information returns (including data in boxes 1-10) to the IRS.

How can I access a copy of my 1098-T?

From January 2021, students can access their 1098-T form electronically through the ACHS Student Portal. Simply log in using your @achs.edu email and password (the same one used for Canvas). If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to support@achs.edu for assistance.

How do I withdraw consent to electronic delivery?

All students consent to receive their 1098-T electronically per the ACHS Enrollment Agreement. You may withdraw this consent and request a hard copy for future statements by sending a written request to:

ACHS
Attn: Business Office
5005 S. Macadam Ave
Portland, OR 97239

Please note that if you withdraw consent to an electronic copy, your 1098T will no longer be published to the ACHS student portal for you.

Who is eligible to receive a Form 1098-T?

Students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have made payments toward qualifying tuition or related expenses during the calendar year will receive a Form 1098-T.
