If a student needs to take a temporary break from a course, they should contact their student advisor and instructor. Depending on the situation, students may be able to arrange to submit assignments early or have deadlines adjusted to accommodate an absence. Students are expected to engage in meaningful interactions each week, so typically approved leaves of absence last for one to two weeks.
In some situations a student can request an incomplete or to drop a course.
